Ownership, Usage, and Protection of Data in S1 Data Centers: Financial institution data may be housed in or transmitted through the S1 Data Centers. S1´s policy is to disclose such data to parties other than the financial institution only when such disclosure (1) is required in order to comply with state and federal laws and regulations, or (2) is requested or allowed by the financial institution providing the data. S1 will retain the data in order to comply with state and federal laws and regulations and may use the data for research and statistical compilation purposes so long as financial institution and customer identifying information is kept confidential in accordance with applicable law. For example, S1 may disclose to third parties that there are a certain number of customers who pay more than 10 bills per month. In no event, however, would S1 disclose the names of those financial institution´s customers, or any other personally identifying information such as the customer´s mailing address, email address, account or phone numbers. S1 uses multifaceted security measures to insure that customer and account data are protected. Customers are required to enter User ID and passwords in order to access data. All transmissions of data between financial institution and S1 or to a customer are encrypted using the highest industry standards for encryption. Network firewalls, use of real-time intrusion detection systems, constant monitoring by experienced personnel, and secure facilities also protect data housed in S1 Data Centers.
