We want to sincerely thank all of you who attended the Postilion SSB and FSB Solutions Conference in Atlanta September 20-23. The event was a great success and well received by our 180 total attendees, including customers, sponsors, and staff. The theme of this year’s event was to educate, innovate, and triumph. Attendees had the opportunity to do all three and walk away with new ways to seize their competitive edge in the markets they serve.
Opening the conference, Johann Dreyer, CEO S1 Corporation, provided an overview of the past year as well as an update on near term initiatives for S1. The next three days were packed with educational sessions and opportunities to learn about new industry insights and innovations.
The most popular sessions this year were, Shortening the Relationship Curve with Marketing Best Practices & Innovations presented by Matt Domanico, Senior Marketing Manager, as well as the Postilion Self-Service Banking Product Roadmap Update presented by Product Managers Coy Joyner, Kareem Al-Bassam, Jon Higby.
Attendees gave Scott McComb high marks for his presentation focused on the Ever Changing Community Banking Landscape - Opportunity Abounds! Both Nell Campbell-Drake from the Federal Reserve’s discussion of the Federal Reserve Bank’s new ACH services and the Panel Discussion: What Do Community Banks of the Future Look Like proved to be very enlightening and informative.
The Exhibit Hall featured fifteen of the Postilion and FSB Conference sponsors showcasing their products and services. Attendees also had the opportunity to stop by the Postilion & FSB booth to view demos and speak with Postilion and FSB representatives about the latest product enhancements.
The Wheel of Fortune game was a huge hit in our exhibit hall and created a great opportunity for attendees to visit the sponsors to learn about their latest solutions and services. Thanks again to our sponsors for donating such generous prizes. Many customers walked away with some fantastic gifts after spinning the wheel, including a Kindle, iTouch, $500 gift card and more!
From the Core Networking breakfasts to the Customer Appreciation Dinner Party sponsored by Metavante, the socializing and networking opportunities were a fun way for attendees to connect with old friends and make new ones. Attendees were able to compare ideas and hear about best practices from other community financial institutions and credit unions as well as discover cutting-edge solutions from conference presenters.
Both the Executive Advisory Council and Product Advisory Council Meetings were held prior to the start of the conference this year. The Executive Advisory Council shares industry perspective on current and future technology trends while the ProductAdvisory Councils purpose is to provide insight and feedback on product releases and enhancements.
Before the opening of the Postilion Conference 2009, the User Group conducted their annual in person meeting. During this meeting the member’s had a roundtable discussion with the S1 Product Managers regarding product features and enhancements, product updates and more. Finally, we’d like to share a few of the many positive comments we received about the conference:
“I am very excited to go back to my bank to share what is around the corner not only for online banking channels but for our bank too!”
“I attended as the security officer representing my bank and not from the IB staff. I gained much more from the sessions and networking than expected.”
“I really enjoyed having someone from the Fed here this year discussing all of the new ACH.”
We’re happy that our commitment to bring a high-value experience for each attendee was a success. Stay tuned for more information on events in 2010!
