The S1 team recently exhibited at North America’s largest retail financial services conference, BAI Retail Delivery 2009. The conference took place November 3 - 5 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. According to BAI, attendance was around 1,400 representatives from around the world, in addition to the 180 companies and their representatives exhibiting at the conference.
Part of S1’s focus at the BAI conference was on the announcement of S1’s single brand initiative, where the new company logo and look were unveiled. In addition, S1 hosted two speaking engagements, including the “What Do Community Banks of the Future Look Like?” workshop with S1 customers, Sheila Stratton, Bank of Blue Valley and Brud Baker, Central National Bank of Enid, as well as industry analyst Christine Barry, Aite Group. The workshop was well attended with more than 40 community bankers in the room actively discussing a range of topics and strategies for success, including mobile banking, payments, and channel integration.
The S1 team showcased its breadth of solutions for online, payments, lending and branch. During the conference S1 also made a number of significant announcements, including the news that Computer Services, Inc. (CSVI) has chosen S1 to replace its legacy payments system.
The number of press and analysts represented at the conference increased this year. Our executive team met with a number of them, including editors from Bank Systems + Technology, Bank Technology News, Banking Strategies, ATM Marketplace, and a number of leading industry analysts, including representatives from TowerGroup, Gartner, Mercator Advisory Group, Celent, and Financial Insights.
