Postilion Office is a product that provides post-transaction processing of data retrieved from Postilion Realtime. It offers a comprehensive source of information for near real-time monitoring and analysis of all transactions processed by the Postilion Realtime system without affecting the performance of the Postilion Realtime system. Postilion Office provides the following functionality:
- Multi-party settlement and the creation of payment files and general ledger postings
- Extracting of transaction files in any format required
- Automatic transaction reconciliation with terminals and networks
- Reporting on the above
Postilion Office is built on an extensible, modular architecture. Its modularity enables new functionality to be added without requiring modifications to the core system, and it allows Postilion Office to be specially tailored to meet the needs of individual EFT businesses.
The Postilion Office software development kit allows third-party developers to write plug-ins to Postilion Office.

Benefits
- Manages ATM and merchant settlement for multiple business partners
- Simplifies reconciliation with external parties
- Produces transaction activity files in any format for reconciliation or settlement purposes
- Makes information available securely via the Web
System Requirements
The correct system size has two main determinants. Firstly, the transaction volume processed by Postilion Realtime influences the server size required for Postilion Office. Secondly, the number of back-office tasks that must be performed by the Postilion Office system influences its required size. Accurate sizing of a Postilion Office server can only be performed on a case-by-case basis.
However, as a general rule of thumb the server specification required for Postilion Office does not exceed that of the server configured for Postilion Realtime. In fact, most Postilion deployments follow a pattern, where, for example, the server used for Postilion Office is one model down from the server used for Postilion Realtime.
