S1 Training

The S1 Product Training division has recently undergone complete reorganization, on both the course development and the delivery sides, to better meet the training needs of our clients. The course offering is being expanded and all courses are being renewed and updated. The complete set of new courses will become available in the second half of 2006.

Audiences and levels of training

For each of the S1 products, we offer a full set of courses on four levels (where applicable):
= Functional (user training)
= Administration
= Installation and configuration
= Extension and customization (including SDK)

Courses on each level reflect audience roles such as
= Business Analyst
= Project Manager

A person usually need only attend one course in order to fulfill the training requirements of a given role. For complex roles such as on-premise administrators, and developers, more than one course is generally required.

Each of these levels of training, the audience it is aimed at, and the prerequisites required, are described in greater detail in the product-specific training brochures.

Mode of delivery
Instructor-led courses
The majority of courses on offer are instructor-led with groups of 10-12 trainees. Delivered by in-house trainers with expert product knowledge, our courses are practically-oriented and include hands-on, skills-based exercises. Each course includes a training manual as well as a PowerPoint presentation, a workbook with exercises and exercise data, an evaluation test and a course feedback form. Instructor-led courses vary in duration between 1 and 5 days.

Training can be carried out on-site at the client facility, or at S1 Learning Centers. S1 Learning Centers are located in = Atlanta, Georgia
= Austin, Texas
= West Hills, California
= Charlotte, North Carolina
= Deerfield Beach, Florida
= Chertsey, London, UK
= Cape Town, South Africa
= Johannesburg, South Africa
= Brussels, Belgium

Web-based seminars
A limited number of short seminars (1-2hrs each) are available via Webex. Web-based seminars allow participants to learn from the convenience of their home or office. S1 instructors employ lecture, demonstrations and Q&A sessions through the Internet. This delivery option is designed for participants seeking an introduction to certain S1 products.

Computer-based training options for some courses are planned for delivery during the course of 2007.
